Patidar, also benefiting from two dropped catches. And he provided early momentum by scoring 55 runs off 23 balls, including six sixes and three fours.

After Patidar’s dismissal, Kohli and Green continued to attack, taking RCB’s score past 200. Green contributed with five fours. And a six before getting caught on the final ball, as RCB scored 77 runs in the last five overs.

Debutant Pacer Vidhwath Kaverappa took two wickets in the powerplay. But his figures could have been better if fielders had not dropped three catches off his bowling.

Kohli, dropped early in his innings, capitalized on his luck and reached his fifty, hitting Livingstone for two fours.
