In a cricket match in 2016, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers played together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. They broke a record by scoring the most runs together in the history of the Indian Premier League. They scored 229 runs for the second wicket, showing how well they worked together as batsmen.

AB de Villiers played an amazing game, scoring 129 runs in just 52 balls. He hit 12 sixes and 10 fours, showing he could dominate the opposing team’s bowlers. Virat Kohli also played a crucial role, scoring 109 runs in 55 balls. His steady performance supported de Villiers’ aggressive style.

3. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul – 210 runs

In IPL 2022, Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul teamed up to score 210 runs together for the new team, Lucknow Super Giants, against KKR. This partnership is ranked as the third best in IPL history. Quinton de Kock made a century in just 59 balls, hitting six fours and seven sixes, showing how good he is at batting and controlling the game. 4.  Adam Gilchrist & Shaun Marsh – 206 runs

Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh played cricket for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2011 Indian Premier League (IPL). They did really well.

After Paul Valthaty got out early, Gilchrist and Marsh worked together and scored 206 runs. This helped KXIP get a big total of 232 runs. Gilchrist hit 105 runs in just 55 balls with 8 fours and 9 sixes. Marsh also did great, scoring 79 runs in 49 balls.

5. Virat Kohli & Chris Gayle – 204 runs

Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle played together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the IPL 2012. Their teamwork is considered the fifth best in IPL history.

Gayle and Kohli’s partnership scored 204 runs for the second wicket. Gayle made an amazing 128 runs in just 62 balls, while Kohli scored 73 runs in 53 balls. This partnership helped RCB reach a high score of 215/1 in the first innings.

Despite Delhi Daredevils’ efforts, they could only manage 194/9 in their chase, falling short by 21 runs. Zaheer Khan’s three wickets were crucial in RCB’s victory in that match.
