Top 5 T20 World Cup Team Totals

T20 World Cup

The 9th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place from June 2 to June 29. In this tournament, the 20 best teams from around the world will compete for the trophy. T20I is one of the shortest formats of cricket, with each team playing 20 overs. Recently, scores in T20 matches have become very high.

In the past, scores of over 200 or 250 were only seen in One Day International (ODI) cricket. But now, fans often see high scores in T20 matches, especially in popular leagues like the Indian Premier League (IPL). For example, in IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 287 for 3 wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore, making it the second-highest team total in a T20 match.

The highest T20 team total is held by Nepal, which scored 314 for 3 against Mongolia in a group game at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou.
