Mushfiqur Rahim, a cricket player from Bangladesh, is important to his team in all kinds of cricket games. In one fast-paced game called T20, he once scored fifty runs in just 24 balls against Sri Lanka in 2018. This happened in Colombo Stadium.

In that match, Sri Lanka scored a high number of runs, 214/6, which was a tough target to beat. But Bangladesh didn’t give up. They chased down the target in 19.4 overs and scored 215/5 to win. Mushfiqur Rahim played a huge role in this victory by scoring 72 runs off 35 balls. He hit five fours and four sixes during his impressive inning.

Another Bangladeshi player with a 24-ball fifty is Afif Hossain. He hit the joint fourth fastest T20I fifty for his country against Zimbabwe in September 2019 at Mirpur. Batting first, Zimbabwe made 144/5 in their 20 overs, which was a below-par target on the pitch. In reply, Bangladesh also struggled and lost their six wickets for just 60 runs in 9.3 overs. But then came a 24-ball fifty from Hossain, who turned the game in Bangladesh’s favor. He made 52 off 26, with eight fours and one six. Bangladesh made 148/7 in 17.4 overs and won the game.

3. Litton Das (21 balls) vs India in 2022

Litton Das from Bangladesh scored the third fastest fifty in a cricket match against India. It happened during the T20 World Cup in 2022 at Adelaide Oval. India scored 184 runs while batting first. Bangladesh needed to start well to chase this big score, and Litton did just that. He hit a fifty in just 21 balls, making a total of 60 runs from 27 balls. He hit seven fours and three sixes. Even though Bangladesh lost by five runs, Litton Das showed his skills and was a standout player in the match.

2. Mohammad Ashraful (20 balls) vs West Indies in 2007

In the first T20 World Cup in 2007 in South Africa, Bangladesh played a match against the West Indies. The West Indies team scored 164 runs in their 20 overs. Bangladesh started their batting but lost two wickets quickly with only 28 runs on the scoreboard. Then, their captain, Mohammad Ashraful, played really well and scored 61 runs in just 27 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Bangladesh reached the target of 165 runs in just 18 overs and won the game.

On March 29th, Litton Das hit the fastest fifty for Bangladesh in T20 cricket against Ireland. He scored 83 runs in only 41 balls, hitting 10 fours and 4 sixes.
