The confrontation included a verbal exchange with the fan, during which Rauf mistakenly assumed the fan was Indian. The fan quickly corrected him, saying he was Pakistani. Eventually, Rauf was led away from the situation by his wife and others present.

Rauf explained his side of the story on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He emphasized that while he accepts criticism as a public figure, he draws the line when it comes to insults directed at his family.
“I chose not to bring this up on social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it’s necessary to address it. As public figures, we are open to criticism and support from the public. However, I will not hesitate to respond if anyone insults my parents and family. Respect for people and their families is crucial, no matter their profession,” Rauf wrote.
