However, the spirit of victory remained high as Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, announced a substantial reward for the team. Around 25 people, including players, coaching, and support staff, will share nearly $15 million in prize money. This bonus is in addition to the record prize pool of $11.25 million for the tournament, with India receiving $2.45 million.

Fans dressed in blue India shirts took to the streets in cities like New Delhi, celebrating the midnight victory with exuberance.
