Despite this remarkable feat, Nair only managed a second-highest score of 26 in the rest of his innings, which includes a brilliant unbeaten 303 against England in 2016.

Recent Performances

Nair’s last Test for India was in 2017 against Sri Lanka. Since then, he has been working hard to revive his career. Over the past year, Nair has been performing well in domestic and county cricket.

Looking Forward

With experienced players like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane having left the Test team, there is a chance for new talent. Nair is optimistic about his return and is determined to make the most of every opportunity.

I’ve been scoring a lot of runs in the past year across all formats. I’m just focusing on each game as it comes and not worrying about the future too much,” Nair said.

He remains confident and excited about the possibility of representing India again. “Yes, of course. Everyone plays this game to represent their country, and that’s my only aim now to play Test cricket again. I’m confident that I can do it. I know I’m good enough,” Nair added.
