Steve Smith is arguably the best Test batter of the last decade. After Ricky Ponting and David Warner, he holds the record for the most centuries scored by an Australian in international cricket. Smith has a phenomenal record in Tests and has also done well in white-ball cricket. Since starting his international career in 2010, Smith has scored 44 centuries (32 in Tests and 12 in ODIs) in 334 matches across all formats for Australia.

Rohit has the third-most centuries for India in international cricket. In 483 matches across all formats, he has scored 48 centuries, including 31 in ODIs (the third-most), 12 in Tests, and 5 in T20Is (joint-most).

Former England Test captain Joe Root has the second-most international centuries among active cricketers. A legend in English cricket, Root holds the record for the most runs and centuries for England across all formats. He is tied for the most Test centuries (33) among active players. Overall, Root has scored 49 centuries in 348 international matches across three formats.

Virat Kohli is a prolific century-maker. Despite a dip in form over the past three years, he is still far ahead of his peers. The former Indian captain has more ODI centuries than the total international centuries of anyone else on this list. Virat is second on the all-time list of batters with the most international centuries, behind only Sachin Tendulkar (100 centuries). Although catching up to Sachin is a tall order, Virat has already scored 80 international centuries in 530 matches, including 50 in ODIs, 29 in Tests, and 1 in T20Is.
