Yograj Singh’s Criticism of Kapil Dev and Dhoni Draws Strong Social Media Reaction

Kapil Dev and Dhoni

Yograj Singh, the father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has sparked controversy with his recent comments about Kapil Dev and Dhoni. During an interview, Yograj criticized MS Dhoni, claiming that Dhoni “ruined” Yuvraj’s international career. He suggested that without Dhoni’s influence, Yuvraj could have played for India for another “4-5 years.”

Attack on Kapil Dev

In the same interview with Zee Switch, Yograj also took aim at Kapil Dev, the captain of the 1983 World Cup-winning team. Yograj’s dislike for Kapil is rooted in their history; he believes that Kapil played a major role in his exclusion from the Indian team in 1981. Yograj has often claimed that Kapil saw him as a rival. Yograj’s hostility towards Kapil Dev is not new.

Recent Remarks

In his latest comments, Yograj pointed out that Yuvraj won 13 major trophies during his career, while Kapil has only one, the World Cup. He suggested that Yuvraj’s success was his way of getting back at Kapil, despite including a derogatory remark about him.

Criticism on Social Media

Yograj also made strong statements about Dhoni, saying he would “never forgive” him for his actions against Yuvraj. He expressed his bitterness by stating he has never forgiven anyone or embraced them, even family members.

These comments have led to a strong backlash against Yograj on social media platforms.
