India Wins 3-0 Against China in Asian Champions Trophy Opener

The Indian men’s hockey team began their campaign in the Asian Champions Trophy with a solid 3-0 victory over China. The match took place on Sunday, and India, the defending champions, got off to a great start in the tournament. Goals were scored by Sukhjeet Singh, Uttam Singh, and Abhishek, securing the win for India. Their next match will be against Japan.

Sukhjeet Singh opened the scoring for India in the 14th minute, giving the team an early lead. Uttam Singh doubled the advantage in the 27th minute, making it 2-0 before halftime. Shortly after the break, Abhishek added another goal with a reverse hit in the 32nd minute, ensuring a comfortable 3-0 win.

India will play Japan in their next match on Monday. India, who won the tournament last year, are the only team to have won four titles in the history of the Asian Champions Trophy. In other games, Malaysia and Pakistan drew 2-2 in a close match, while Japan and Korea finished with a thrilling 5-5 draw.
