Bangladesh Secures Historic Series Sweep Over Pakistan

Bangladesh achieved a remarkable 2-0 series sweep against Pakistan by winning the second Test match in Rawalpindi. They chased down a target of 185 runs, with standout performances from Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Mominul Haq. This victory comes after their first-ever Test win against Pakistan in the series opener.

Series Summary

On Tuesday, Bangladesh won the second Test by six wickets, successfully reaching their target of 143 runs on the final day. They lost only four wickets in the process. Shakib Al Hasan hit the winning boundary, and Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten.

This series win is only the second time Bangladesh has won a bilateral series of two or more Tests away from home. Their previous away win was against the West Indies in 2009.
