Dhoni’s Kind Act for Raina on Chepauk Lap of Honor

Chennai Super Kings celebrated after their IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. It was a special time for fans because it was CSK’s last match of the season at that stadium. They still have one more game, but it will be away against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Lots of fans came on Sunday to see MS Dhoni and his teammates. They were giving signed balls to the crowd using tennis racquets.

In a touching moment, Suresh Raina, a former CSK player and Dhoni’s friend, joined the team. Dhoni did something nice. He gave Raina the tennis racquet and asked him to help send the signed balls to the fans. Raina is also a commentator for IPL 2024 and was at the stadium for the match.

In the game, CSK won against Rajasthan Royals by five wickets in a thrilling match. This win boosts CSK’s chances of making it to the playoffs in IPL 2024.

CSK now has 14 points from 13 matches and holds the third position in the points table with a net run rate of +0.528.

They successfully chased a target of 142 runs set by RR in 18.2 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the CSK skipper, played a crucial role by scoring an unbeaten 42 runs.

In the first innings, Simarjeet Singh from CSK took three wickets for 26 runs, helping restrict RR to a total of 141 for five in 20 overs.

RR’s top scorer was Riyan Parag with 47 not out off 35 balls.
