This happened during the final over of CSK’s batting. The fan bowed down to Dhoni as a sign of respect. Dhoni pretended to run away at first, but then stopped when he saw the fan’s gesture. Security had to remove the fan from the field, causing a small delay in the match. Despite Dhoni’s good performance, CSK couldn’t win the match. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan scored centuries for GT, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Rashid Khan, who was bowling during the incident, talked about the immense love and support Dhoni receives across India during the IPL matches.
