First Test Hat-trick: Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh made history in the 2001 Eden Gardens Test against Australia. Chetan Sharma became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in One Day Internationals. Facing New Zealand in Nagpur in 1987, he dismissed Ken Rutherford, Ian Smith, and Ewen Chatfield in three consecutive deliveries. His outstanding bowling led India to a decisive victory and ensured his place in India’s ODI history.

First T20I Hat-trick: Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar was the first Indian to claim a hat-trick in T20 Internationals. He achieved this feat against Bangladesh in 2019 at Nagpur. Chahar took three wickets in a single over, dismissing Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Aminul Islam. His remarkable performance helped India win by 30 runs and secure the series 2-1.
