India will play against Bangladesh in a warm-up match for the T20 World Cup on June 1, 2024, in the USA, as announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday. The exact location and time for the match have not been revealed yet.
From May 27 to June 1, 17 of the 20 participating teams will play warm-up games in the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. South Africa has an intra-squad game scheduled for May 29 in Florida.
Defending champions England, runners-up Pakistan, and semi-finalists New Zealand will not participate in the warm-up matches. England will be playing a four-match series against Pakistan starting May 22. New Zealand having recently toured Pakistan.. Will begin their World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on June 8.
The warm-up games will take place at several venues including Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, and two stadiums in Trinidad and Tobago: Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy. These matches will not be considered official T20 Internationals. Allowing teams to play all 15 squad members. Teams can choose to play up to two warm-up matches based on their arrival time.
The match between West Indies and Australia on May 30 at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago will be open to fans. Tickets are available at tickets.t20worldcup.com and at the National Cricket Centre and Queen’s Park Oval box offices.
