Karun Nair, who has played six Test matches for India, is hopeful about making a test Comeback to the national team. Despite this remarkable feat, Nair only managed a second-highest score of 26 in the rest of his innings, which includes a brilliant unbeaten 303 against England in 2016.
Recent Performances
Nair’s last Test for India was in 2017 against Sri Lanka. Since then, he has been working hard to revive his career. Over the past year, Nair has been performing well in domestic and county cricket.
- For Northamptonshire: Nair scored 484 runs in seven matches, averaging 49. He also hit a century against Glamorgan.
- For Vidarbha: He accumulated 690 runs in 10 matches, including two centuries, helping his team reach the Ranji Trophy semi-finals.
Despite his strong performances, Nair is focusing on taking things one game at a time as he hopes to return to the Indian Test team.

Looking Forward

“I’ve been scoring a lot of runs in the past year across all formats. I’m just focusing on each game as it comes and not worrying about the future too much,” Nair said.
He remains confident and excited about the possibility of representing India again. “Yes, of course. Everyone plays this game to represent their country, and that’s my only aim now to play Test cricket again. I’m confident that I can do it. I know I’m good enough,” Nair added.
