KKR Fan Tries to Steal Match Ball at IPL 2024 Game

A Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fan attempted to steal a match ball from Eden Gardens stadium. He was wearing a KKR shirt and tried to leave with the ball in his pocket, but the police caught him. This incident was recorded on video and has gone viral. The match between KKR and Gujarat Titans was canceled due to rain at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, confirming KKR’s place in the top 2 teams, while Gujarat Titans were eliminated from playoff contention.

The match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was delayed. Due to constant lightning and a light drizzle that later turned into heavy rain. The game, scheduled to start at 7 pm, was eventually abandoned. Because the rain did not stop, making the field too wet to play. This was the first time a match in this IPL season was canceled.

Phil Salt, a player from KKR, mentioned that their coach. Gautam Gambhir, motivated them to maintain a positive attitude and aim for a win despite the weather. KKR had already secured a spot in the playoffs after their previous win against Mumbai Indians.

In the standings, Rajasthan Royals are in second place with 16 points from 12 games, while the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings, are in third with 14 points from 13 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad are fourth with 14 points from 12 games. Royal Challengers Bangalore are in fifth with 12 points from 13 games. Lucknow Super Giants, with 12 points from 12 games, are still in the playoff race. However, Delhi Capitals are almost out of contention with 12 points from 13 matches.
