Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni recently opened up about his relationship with star batter Virat Kohli at an event in Hyderabad. Despite not meeting frequently, Dhoni emphasized that they always make time to chat when they do meet. He described their bond as one built over many memorable partnerships on the field. Dhoni noted, “We have been colleagues who played for India for a very long time. He (Kohli) has been amongst the best when it comes to world cricket. It is not like we meet very often, but whenever we get a chance, we make sure that we go on the side and chat for some time.”

Kohli’s Recent T20 Triumph

Virat Kohli recently played a crucial role in India’s victory at the ICC T20 World Cup. India defeated South Africa in the final by seven runs in Barbados, with Kohli scoring a match-winning 76 runs. This match was particularly significant as it marked his final T20 International appearance for India. Currently, Kohli is participating in an ODI series during the Indian team’s tour of Sri Lanka. The series, which comprises three matches, began on Friday.

Dhoni’s Recent Performance in the League

MS Dhoni participated in the 2024 season of the league following a successful knee surgery. Despite some visible struggles and moments of limping on the field, Dhoni’s determination to entertain fans remained unwavering. Batting lower down the order, Dhoni amassed 161 runs in 11 innings, boasting an impressive average of 53.66 and a strike rate of 220.54. His top score was an unbeaten 37, featuring 14 fours and 13 sixes throughout the season.
