Third Medal For India in Paris Olympics 2024

Swapnil Kusale has won a bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Paris Olympics 2024. This is India’s third medal at these important games. Swapnil Kusale was born in 1995 into a family with a farming background. His path to the Olympics shows his hard work and dedication. He works as a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) for the Pune Railway Division during the day, but his real passion is shooting.

A Thrilling Performance

Swapnil Kusale’s journey to the bronze medal was nothing short of thrilling. He started strong, placing sixth at 153.3 at the end of the kneeling stage. By the end of the prone stage, he had climbed to fifth position with a total of 310.1.

A Shining Career

Swapnil Kusale’s medal win is not his first achievement in the shooting world. He has previously won a gold medal in 50m rifle prone 3 in the junior category at the 2015 Asian Shooting Championships in Kuwait. He also won the 59th National Shooting Championship held in Tughlakabad, beating out Gagan Narang and Chain Singh in the 50m rifle prone event.
