Afghanistan’s cricket team has improved a lot over the last ten years. They have been performing well against top-ranked teams and doing better in ICC events. In the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, they could be tough to beat because the dry and slow pitches in the West Indies will favor their spin bowlers.

Rashid Khan will be the captain of Afghanistan for this big event, which will take place in the West Indies and the USA. This will be Rashid’s first time leading the team in an ICC event.

Afghanistan is in Group C and will play their first match on June 3 against Uganda in Guyana. They aim to finish in the top two of their group to advance to the Super 8 stage.

4. Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is considered Afghanistan’s top batter in T20 cricket. His skill at hitting the ball is unmatched on his team. How well he plays in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will greatly affect his team’s success.

Gurbaz plays with a lot of freedom, starting fast and continuing aggressively even after the fielding rules loosen. He’s also the team’s wicket-keeper.
