This change has also brought about a new kind of cricket player, someone who travels around the world playing in these leagues.

In T20 cricket, scoring runs quickly is super important, and getting a hundred runs in a single game is seen as the ultimate achievement for a batter. 5. Colin Munro – 3 T20I hundreds in 62 innings

Colin Munro is a cricket player from New Zealand who bats with his left hand and plays at the top of the order. He’s done really well in T20 International cricket. He’s scored three centuries, which means he’s hit over 100 runs in a single game three times. Munro is the only player from New Zealand to have achieved this. He’s played 65 T20I matches and scored a total of 1724 runs. Along with his three centuries, he’s also scored 11 half-centuries.

His first century came in 2017 against Bangladesh where he scored 101 runs off 54 balls. In the same year, he scored his second century against India, making an unbeaten 109 runs off 58 balls. His third century was in 2018 against the West Indies where he scored 104 runs off 53 balls.

4. Suryakumar Yadav – 3 T20I Hundreds in 53 innings

In just two years, Suryakumar Yadav has become really good at playing cricket internationally, especially in T20 matches. He’s hit three centuries in 56 games, which is pretty impressive. He’s the fastest player from a country that plays test cricket to reach this milestone. Right now, he’s ranked number one in the ICC T20I rankings. His first century was against England in 2022, where he scored 117 runs in 55 balls. Then, he scored 111 runs in 51 balls against New Zealand in the same year. His third century was against Sri Lanka in 2023, where he scored an unbeaten 112 runs in 51 balls. If he keeps playing this well, it wouldn’t be surprising if he beats Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell’s records soon.

3. Sabawoon Davizi – 3 T20I Hundreds in 31 innings

Sabawoon Davizi from the Czech Republic is really good at cricket. He’s the third best at scoring centuries in T20I cricket matches. He’s super fast too, becoming the quickest player ever to get three centuries in T20I matches. He did it in just 25 games, which amazed a lot of cricket fans.

He’s played in 31 games so far and scored a total of 1149 runs. His average score is 41.03, and he hits the ball at a rate of 138.93 per 100 balls, which is pretty impressive. Some of his best games include scoring 101 runs against Malta, 115 runs against Bulgaria, and 111 runs against Austria, where he didn’t get out at all.

2. Rohit Sharma – 4 T20I Hundreds in 140 innings

Rohit Sharma is really good at scoring lots of runs in T20 cricket. He started showing this talent as soon as he started playing for the international team. He became even more famous for his skills during a tour in Australia in 2016. Right now, he’s the second-best scorer in T20 matches, with a total of 3853 runs in 140 games.

In 2018, Rohit Sharma made history by being the first player to score four centuries in T20 international matches. He also holds the record for getting one of the fastest centuries, which he did in just 35 balls. He scored these centuries in games against different teams like South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, and the West Indies. In those matches, he scored 106, 118, 100, and 111 runs respectively, making him even more famous in T20 cricket.

1. Glenn Maxwell – 4 T20I Hundreds in 92 innings

Glenn Maxwell scored a record-breaking century in Guwahati on November 28, 2023. This means he hit a hundred runs in a cricket match faster than anyone else has done before. He now has as many T20I centuries as Rohit Sharma, who is also a famous player.

In the match, Australia had to chase a big target of 223 runs. Maxwell played incredibly well, scoring 104 runs without getting out. His performance was a big reason why Australia won the match.

This is Maxwell’s fourth T20I century. He joins Aaron Finch and Josh Inglis as the fastest Australians to reach a century in this format of the game. Maxwell’s first century was in 2016 against Sri Lanka, where he scored 145 runs without being dismissed. He then scored another century against England in 2018, making 103 runs. His third century came against India in 2019, where he scored 113 runs. What’s impressive is that Maxwell achieved these three centuries in just 92 matches, which is faster than Rohit Sharma.
