It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that Rohit Sharma is one of the all-time great white-ball batters. Sharma has been a prolific match-winner for India, especially in T20Is.

Being the highest run-getter in T20 internationals, the 35-year-old has clobbered 3313 runs at an average of 32 and an impressive strike rate of touching 140. Moreover, no other batter has surpassed his feat of four T20I centuries.

Now India’s skipper in all formats, Rohit has terrific leadership skills as well. Under his captaincy, India are yet to lose a T20I game.

5. 97 off 61 vs Ireland in 2018

Before going on their two-month tour to England in 2018, India played two T20 matches against Ireland in Dublin. Led by their captain Virat Kohli, India played their best team against Ireland.

In the first T20 match, India batted first. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, the two Indian openers, started batting really well. Dhawan played aggressively from the beginning, while Rohit took some time to get settled. They both scored a lot of runs together and made India’s second-highest partnership in T20 matches before Dhawan got out after scoring 74 runs. Rohit kept playing well and almost scored a century but got out before that. He made 97 runs. With contributions from Rohit and Dhawan, India scored a big total of 208 runs.

When Ireland came to bat, they found it difficult to score against India’s spin bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. These two bowlers took seven wickets together, helping India win the match by 76 runs.

4. 106 off 66 vs South Africa in 2015

South Africa came to India in 2015 to play cricket. They played three short matches called T20Is. The first match was canceled because of rain, but South Africa won the other two.

In the first match, India batted first. They lost a player named Dhawan early in the game. Then, two players named Rohit and Kohli played really well together. They made a lot of runs. Rohit scored 106 runs, which is a lot in this type of cricket. But even though Rohit played so well, India still lost the game in the end because South Africa played better in the last over. A player named Duminy from South Africa played really well and helped his team win.

3. 100 of 56 vs England in 2018

In 2018, during a cricket match between India and England, Rohit Sharma played really well. India won the coin toss and chose to let England bat first. England scored a high total of 198 runs, thanks to Jason Roy’s fast 67 runs.

When it was India’s turn to bat, they needed a good start to win the series. But they lost two early wickets. Rohit Sharma, however, played excellently and didn’t let England control the game.

Rohit Sharma hit his second century in a series against West Indies in 2018. The West Indies team won the toss and chose to bowl first. India finished with a total of 195 runs.

1. 118 vs Sri Lanka in 2017

Rohit Sharma scored his best ever in one-day and twenty-twenty cricket games against Sri Lanka. He did this in 2017 when Sri Lanka visited India.

There were three cricket matches and three one-day games. Then they played three twenty-twenty games. India won the first twenty-twenty match easily in Cuttack. In the second twenty-twenty game in Indore, India batted first.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started batting for India. They played amazingly well together, scoring 165 runs. Rahul scored 89 runs, but Rohit Sharma was even better.

Rohit Sharma played very aggressively. He scored 118 runs in just 43 balls, hitting 12 fours and ten sixes. He reached his 100 runs in just 35 balls, which is really fast in twenty-twenty cricket.

With both Rohit and Rahul playing so well, India scored 260 runs in 20 overs, which was their highest ever in twenty-twenty cricket.

Sri Lanka tried to chase this huge score but they struggled. They lost nine wickets quickly and only scored 27 runs. India won the match by 88 runs, and Rohit Sharma was named the best player for his amazing innings.
