We’re discussing the most expensive overs in T20 cricket, where the batsmen play a big role. However, it’s still very hard to score a lot in a single over because bowlers use different types of deliveries to surprise and dismiss the batsmen. Some batsmen have even scored 36 runs in one over.

1. India vs England 36 Runs (2007)
The most famous over in T20I cricket history happened in 2007. Stuart Broad bowled this over, and 36 runs were scored. Yuvraj Singh from India hit six sixes in this over, which was a remarkable achievement. He hit the sixes all around the ground in Durban, making it the most expensive over in T20 cricket.

2. West Indies vs Sri Lanka 36 Runs (2021)
In 2021, Kieron Pollard from the West Indies hit 36 runs in a single over against Sri Lankan bowler Akila Dhananjay. This helped the West Indies win the match against Sri Lanka quickly, in just 13.1 overs. Pollard is the second player to achieve this in a T20 International game.
3. New Zealand vs India 34 runs (2020)
On February 2, 2020, a T20 cricket match was played between India and New Zealand. In this game, Indian bowler Shivam Dubey gave away 34 runs in one over, which were scored by New Zealand batsmen Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor.
4. Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 34 Run (2022)
In the 15th over of the third T20 match in Harare, Bangladeshi bowler Nasum Ahmed gave up 34 runs to Ryan Burl. Burl hit four sixes in the first four balls of the over. Then he hit a four and another six on the next two balls. This over became the most expensive over by a Bangladeshi bowler in T20 cricket.

5. England vs South Africa 32 Run (2016)
England and South Africa had a high-scoring cricket match in the ICC World Twenty20 on March 18, 2016, in Mumbai. Chris Jordan from England gave away 32 runs in the 18th over. South African batsman J.P. Duminy hit four sixes and two fours.
