5. Fielder’s Most Catches
Fielding can help teams win games, and some really good players are close to making big achievements. AB de Villiers has caught the most balls as a fielder in T20 World Cup history, with 23 catches.
But David Warner isn’t far behind, with 21 catches. If he makes a few more great catches, he could break that record. Also, keep an eye on Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell. They each have 16 catches and could also make a big impact.

3. The Fastest 100
Chris Gayle, also known as the Universe Boss, has the record for the fastest centuries in T20 World Cup history. He scored them in just 47 and 50 balls. But records can always be beaten!
This year, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton from Namibia surprised everyone by scoring a century in just 33 balls. This shows that anything can happen in cricket.
Now, with more teams and powerful hitters playing, there’s a chance for someone else to break the record for the fastest century.
2. Triple Crown of Australia
The Australian team is about to do something very special. They’ve already won the ICC World Test Championship and the ICC ODI World Cup in 2023. Now, they have a chance to win all three major ICC trophies at once.
Pat Cummins leads the team. Australia is also the current champion in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, and the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. If they win the T20 World Cup, they’ll be the first team ever to accomplish this amazing feat.

This year, there are more teams playing in the tournament, so players have more chances to score runs. The highest number of runs scored by a player so far is 319 by Virat Kohli in 2014. But with the possibility of playing up to nine matches, someone could beat this record.
We might see a new great batsman come into the spotlight. Since there are more games, players have more chances to score a lot of runs. We might even see someone break the record for the most runs scored in one tournament.
