1. 82* off 53 vs Pakistan (T20 World Cup 2022)

Virat Kohli scored 82 runs in a cricket match that many people think was one of the best ever. It was a very important match in the T20 World Cup 2022. India needed to chase a total of 160 runs to win, which is not too hard in today’s cricket.

But things got tough for India early on. One of their players, KL Rahul, got out very quickly. After 6.1 overs, India’s score was only 31 runs and they had already lost four players. It seemed like they might lose the game.

But then Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya started playing very well together. They made a partnership of 113 runs, which helped India get closer to winning.

Near the end of the game, India needed to score 31 runs in just two overs. Haris Rauf, who was bowling really fast, was trying to stop them. But on the fourth ball of the over, Kohli hit an amazing shot for a six, and then he hit another six on the last ball too. This helped India win the game. It was an incredible moment in cricket history.

2. 82* off 51 vs Australia (T20 World Cup 2016)

In 2016, Virat Kohli was a big deal in cricket. He did really well that year. He scored 973 runs in one season of the IPL and led India to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

In one important game against Australia, India needed to chase 161 runs to win. By the end of the 14th over, they had lost four wickets and had to score 67 runs in the next six overs. Virat Kohli did something amazing. He scored 82 runs in just 51 balls. Because of him, India won the game with five deliveries left.

3. 74* off 42 vs South Africa (T20 World Cup 2014)

Virat Kohli scored the most runs in the T20 World Cup 2014, getting 319 runs during the games. In the semifinals, South Africa scored 172 runs, and they were never beaten before when they had scored over 170 runs.

But Virat Kohli played really well. Even though he only scored 17 runs from the first 16 balls, he picked up speed and, with Suresh Raina, helped India win the game. Kohli scored 74 runs in just 42 balls, taking India to the final of the tournament.

4. 94* off 50 vs West Indies (2019 T20I Series)

In the first match against the Caribbean team, India had to score a lot of runs to win. Even though Rohit Sharma got out early, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli worked together well. They hit the ball to the boundary often.

Virat Kohli did a special celebration after hitting Kesrick Williams for many runs. Williams gave away 60 runs in 3.4 overs. Kohli scored 94 runs from 50 balls. Because of him, India won the match by chasing a record score of 209 runs.

5. 70* off 29 vs West Indies (2019 T20I Series)

In the third game of the same series against West Indies, India posted a mammoth total of 240 runs with some lethal hitting from the top three batters including Virat Kohli. This was the fastest T20I innings from Virat as he played with a strike rate of 241, clobbering the Caribbean bowlers for boundaries. 

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave a flyer of a start to India’s innings and all Virat had to do was just continue the momentum, and that’s what he did. He went on to smash 70 runs off just 29 deliveries, including three sixes and a boundary in the over of Kieron Pollard, where Kohli unleashed his inner beast.
