5. India wins in Sydney by 43 runs: 1992
India and Pakistan didn’t play against each other in the first four World Cup tournaments. Their first match happened in Sydney, Australia. India batted first, with Sachin Tendulkar scoring 54 runs in his first-ever World Cup match. Pakistan’s Mushtaq Ahmed took three wickets, but India managed to score 216 runs. When Pakistan batted, India’s bowlers worked together to get them out for 173 runs. Kapil Dev, Manoj Prabhakar, and Javagal Srinath each got two wickets. In the 1996 World Cup quarter-final, India and Pakistan played against each other for the first time in a knockout game. Wasim Akram couldn’t play because he was injured, which was a big deal. Navjot Sidhu scored 93 runs off 115 balls for India, giving them a good start. But it was Ajay Jadeja’s powerful hitting at the end that helped India reach 287/8 in 50 overs.

3. India Win in Manchester by 47 Runs: 1999
In the World Cup match, India played against Pakistan during the Kargil War. It was a very emotional game. India scored 227 runs, with good performances from Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Mohammad Azharuddin.

The India-Pakistan match in the 2022 T20 World Cup was really exciting. India had to chase 160 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. They were in trouble because they lost 4 wickets with only 31 runs. But then, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya played really well together. They scored 113 runs and saved India’s innings.
