Wesley Hall’s Special Gift to Virat Kohli

West Indies cricket legend Wesley Hall met India’s star batter Virat Kohli ahead of India’s Super 8 clash in the T20 World Cup. Hall, famous for his fast bowling during his playing days, presented Kohli with his book ‘Answering to the Call’. The meeting took place on the eve of India’s match against Afghanistan at Kensington Oval in Barbados. During their brief conversation, Hall praised Kohli, calling him a “great player” and expressing his hope that Kohli would continue to play for India.

The Book ‘Answering to the Call’

Published in November 2022, ‘Answering to the Call’ is Wesley Hall’s autobiography, detailing his impressive cricket career. Hall was one of the fastest bowlers in the history of the game. The book also covers his time after cricket, including his roles as a senator and politician. Along with Kohli, India’s head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma were also given copies of the book by Hall. He expressed admiration for all three, acknowledging their contributions to Indian cricket.

India is set to begin their Super 8 stage in the T20 World Cup against Afghanistan.
