Zhang Yufei’s Achievements
Zhang Yufei was the standout swimmer, earning six medals—one silver and five bronze. She competed in all six swimming events, securing a podium finish in each.
This was Yufei’s third Olympic appearance. She now has ten Olympic medals. Her debut was at Rio 2016, where she finished sixth in the 200m butterfly. At Tokyo 2020, she won two golds and two silvers. She continued her impressive performance in Paris.
Paris 2024 Events
Women’s 4×100 Freestyle: Yufei started her medal streak with a bronze, swimming the third leg alongside Yang Junxuan, Cheng Yujie, and Wu Qingfeng.
100m Butterfly: She earned a bronze, adding to her collection.
200m Butterfly: As the defending champion, Yufei finished third with a time of 2:05.09 seconds, behind Summer McIntosh who broke her Tokyo record.
Mixed 4×100m Medley Relay: Yufei won silver, swimming the third leg with teammates Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, and Yang Junxuan. They finished just ahead of bronze medalists Australia.
50m Freestyle: Yufei clinched another bronze with a time of 24.20 seconds.
Women’s 4×100m Medley Relay: In her final event, Yufei secured her tenth career Olympic medal with a third-place finish.
