Zaheer Khan’s Big Move: No Need for a Bowling Coach at LSG

Zaheer Khan’s Big Move made it clear when asked about Morne Morkel’s replacement as the bowling coach for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). With Gautam Gambhir leaving for Kolkata Knight Riders and Morkel taking on a role with the Indian team, Zaheer has stepped in as the mentor for LSG.

Zaheer’s Role and Comments

Zaheer Khan, who has been appointed as LSG’s mentor, is confident in his ability to lead the team. He stated, “Do you need a bowling coach when I’m here? I will handle everything the team needs.” He believes the team already has a strong foundation and just needs minor adjustments to succeed.

Team’s Performance and Future

Under Gautam Gambhir, LSG made the playoffs in their first two seasons. However, they struggled last season and finished seventh. Zaheer is optimistic about the team’s potential and aims to contribute to their future success. He plans to be involved in all aspects, from decision-making to player development.

Zaheer’s Experience

Before coaching, Zaheer played for three IPL teams: Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Daredevils. Over 10 seasons, he played 100 matches and took 102 wickets. He last captained the Delhi Daredevils in 2017 before retiring from cricket.
