A video on social media showed Rohit Sharma, a player from Mumbai Indians, having a serious talk with Abhishek Nayar, an assistant coach from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Even though the video got deleted later, many people had already seen it and shared it. In the video, Rohit and Nayar were discussing some things changing, and Rohit Sharma mentioned it was his last. People speculated they might have talked about Mumbai Indians’ current situation, especially Hardik Pandya becoming the captain.
The video created a buzz before the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Even though there was a lot of noise in the background, fans managed to understand what Rohit and Nayar were saying. Rohit talked about changes happening and referred to something as his “last,” which made people curious about what he meant.
Rohit mentioned, “Everything is changing one by one… It’s on them… Whatever, but it’s my home brother, it’s the temple that I constructed.” Then he said, “Brother, this is my last anyway.” This conversation left fans wondering about its meaning and added to the excitement before the match.
Recently, a report came out saying that many experienced players on the Mumbai Indians team aren’t happy with how Hardik Pandya leads the team. They feel that his style of leading doesn’t create excitement in the team.
The Mumbai Indians management picked Hardik as the team’s captain before the new season started. They hoped he would lead them to success like he did with the Gujarat Titans in the past seasons. But things haven’t been going well for MI this season.
MI is the first team to be out of the playoffs this season and is currently in 9th place out of 10 teams. They’ve only won 4 out of 12 matches so far. The team hasn’t really clicked together, and many question Hardik’s decisions as a captain.
