T20Is are like fast games, good for young players. To really help their team, a player needs to be great at least in two parts of the game. In this kind of game, players have to be quick and able to move well. They need to catch the ball amazingly and stop the other team from scoring points.
But sometimes, older players have started playing in T20Is, even though people think it’s a game for younger ones.

5. Brad Hogg
Brad Hogg was the oldest player ever to play in a T20 international cricket match. He was 43 years and 34 days old when he played for Australia against South Africa in Durban on March 12, 2014. Hogg started playing cricket way back in 1996. Throughout his career, he was often compared to Shane Warne and Stuart McGill, two other famous Australian cricketers.
He also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for different teams until 2016. Despite getting older, he was praised for his hard work and dedication. In total, Hogg played 7 test matches, 123 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 15 T20 Internationals (T20Is) for Australia.
4. Steve Tikolo
Steve Tikolo was a well-known captain from Kenya. He played for a long time in international cricket. He played in 135 ODIs and 15 T20Is for his country. In those matches, he scored three centuries and 24 half-centuries. Tikolo was the second oldest player to ever play in a T20 international. He was 42 years and 154 days old when he played against Canada in Sharjah on November 26, 2013, during the ICC World T20 qualifier. Besides batting, Tikolo was also a good bowler, taking more than 100 wickets in international matches.
3. Sanath Jayasuriya
Sanath Jayasuriya was a really good cricket player from Sri Lanka. Jayasuriya was left-handed and really good at hitting sixes. He played for Sri Lanka for more than 20 years. He scored 42 centuries in international matches and played 31 T20 matches for Sri Lanka until 2011. Jayasuriya was 41 years and 360 days old when he played his last match against England on June 25, 2011. He retired from cricket that year.
4. Sunil Dhaniram
Sunil Dhaniram is a player from Canada who started playing from a young age. He played in 44 ODIs and 11 T20 matches for Canada. He’s done well, making six scores of fifty runs or more and also taking five wickets in a match.
In one T20 match, when Canada played against Kenya in the ICC World T20 qualifier in Dubai, Sunil Dhaniram became the fourth oldest player to ever play in a T20 international. He was 41 years and 116 days old at that time. He’s considered one of the best all-rounders in Canada.
5. John Davison
John Davison is seen as one of the best cricket players from Canada. He played for Canada in 32 one-day international matches and 5 T20 international matches from 2003 to 2011. He scored 100 runs in one match and got halfway there 5 other times. Davison also took 40 wickets in international matches.
When he played against Kenya in a T20 match on February 10, 2010, he was 39 years and 277 days old. This made him the fifth oldest player to ever play in a T20 match. He retired from cricket a year later.
