5. 3/14 vs Gujarat Titans, 2024*
It’s been noticed that Mumbai Indians haven’t won their first game since a while ago, but they still managed to win the trophy five times. Even in their first game of IPL 2024, Mumbai started the same way under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. Although Jasprit Bumrah did his best, they fell a bit short on runs.
When they were bowling first, Mumbai did a great job stopping Gujarat Titans from scoring too much. Jasprit Bumrah, who returned to IPL after missing one season, did exceptionally well by taking three wickets for only 14 runs in 4 overs, which is one of his best performances in IPL.
4. 3/13 vs Delhi Daredevils, 2016
In 2016, Bumrah was a young player who had just joined the Indian team. With experienced players like Lasith Malinga and Zaheer Khan guiding him, he became very skilled at bowling. He could easily trouble any batsman with his excellent bowling.
In a match against Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians scored a huge total of 206 runs. All Mumbai Indians needed to do was to keep taking wickets regularly to control the game. Bumrah played really well and got key wickets, including those of Rishabh Pant, JP Duminy, and Amit Mishra. This performance was one of his best in the IPL, with figures of 3 wickets for 13 runs.

3. 4/20 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2020
In 2020, the Mumbai Indians team won the IPL for the fifth time. Jasprit Bumrah was a key player for them. The IPL matches happened in the United Arab Emirates. Bumrah took 27 wickets in that season.
In one match against the Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai batted first and scored 193 runs, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s good performance. When it was their turn to bowl, Bumrah did exceptionally well. He quickly got out several batsmen and took the wicket of Steve Smith. This was his first time getting four wickets in a match, and he only gave away 20 runs in 4 overs.

The last couple of years have been tough for Jasprit Bumrah and the Mumbai Indians team. When Bumrah was injured and couldn’t play, the Mumbai team didn’t do well. But in the IPL 2022, after taking a break from cricket, Bumrah played really well. He took five wickets in one match, which was his first time doing so in the IPL.
In a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians did well to limit their score to 165 runs. No other bowler could match Bumrah’s performance. He took five wickets and gave away only 15 runs in his four overs. This is still his best bowling performance in the Indian Premier League.
