CSK Stars React as Rayudu Mocks RCB on Instagram IPL Drama

RCB lost to Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024 Eiminator

Ambati Rayudu’s Instagram Dig at RCB

Former CSK player Ambati Rayudu took to Instagram to poke fun at RCB following their playoff exit from IPL 2024.

Ambati Rayudu, a former player of the Indian cricket team, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), used his Instagram account to taunt Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after they were knocked out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season’s playoffs. RCB’s journey in the season ended with a loss to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rayudu’s Instagram Post

Rayudu shared a video on Instagram featuring Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, and Devon Conway, who were part of the CSK team that won the IPL title last year, indicating the team’s five championships with their hands. His caption read, “Just a kind reminder from the 5-time champions. Sometimes a gentle reminder is required.”

Rayudu’s Reaction to RCB’s Loss

Rayudu’s post came after RCB’s defeat against Rajasthan Royals, who had earlier eliminated CSK from the tournament with a win over them. After that match, Rayudu emphasized the importance of strategic planning and hunger to win titles, suggesting that mere passion and celebrations were insufficient.

Reflection on RCB’s Campaign

Despite a mixed campaign, RCB managed to qualify for the playoffs on the back of six consecutive wins. However, apart from Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar, the batting lineup struggled, and the bowling unit appeared inconsistent. Ultimately, they couldn’t progress past the Eliminator stage.

Upcoming IPL Matches

In the upcoming IPL match, Rajasthan Royals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In Rayudu’s Instagram post and subsequent remarks, there’s a blend of celebration for CSK’s past successes and a hint of criticism towards RCB’s inability to convert their form into a title win.
