Governor Hochul assured that elevated security measures are being implemented. She has directed the New York State Police to increase their presence, enhance surveillance, and conduct thorough screening processes. We have a robust security plan in place and work closely with authorities in our host countries to continually monitor and evaluate the global landscape to mitigate any risks.” The ICC and Cricket West Indies, co-hosts of the World Cup with the US, reassured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of fans and players.
India’s T20 World Cup Schedule
India’s T20 World Cup campaign includes four games in the US, starting with Ireland on June 5, followed by Pakistan on June 9, the USA on June 12, and their final group stage game against Canada in Florida on June 15. The Indian team arrived in New York and has been training, although star player Virat Kohli is yet to join due to a break after his successful IPL season with Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he secured the Orange Cap for the most runs.
