5 Contenders to Become Team India's Next Head Coach

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced that they are looking for a new head coach for the Indian Senior National Team. The new coach will start on July 1, 2024, and will work with the team until December 31, 2027, covering important tournaments like the ICC events.

Rahul Dravid, the current head coach, is unlikely to continue after the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA. His term was supposed to end after the ODI World Cup in November, but the BCCI decided to extend it until the T20 World Cup in July. During Dravid’s tenure, India didn’t win any ICC Trophy. The team performed decently, reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup and the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, they couldn’t win the home World Cup. Now, everyone is eager to know who will replace Dravid as the Indian team’s coach.

In this article, let’s discuss the top 5 potential candidates to take over as the coach of the Indian Cricket Team after Rahul Dravid’s tenure.

However, recent reports suggest he may not apply for the head coach position of the senior team. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
