The Indian Super League (ISL) has seen some great goal-scorers over the past six years. As we approach the seventh season, here’s a list of the best strikers who have made an impact with their impressive goals.

10. Stiven Mendoza
Colombian striker Stiven Mendoza had a stellar impact in ISL’s early years. After scoring four goals in his debut season with Chennaiyin FC in 2014, he returned from injury to lead the team to their first ISL title in 2015. Mendoza scored 13 goals in that season, earning the Golden Boot. Overall, he has 17 goals and three assists in his ISL career.
Venezuelan striker Miku made an immediate impact in the ISL, scoring 15 goals in his first season with Bengaluru FC in 2017/18. He continued his form the following year, contributing five goals and four assists to help Bengaluru win its first ISL title. Miku accumulated 20 goals from 32 appearances in his two ISL seasons.
8. Roy Krishna
Fijian international Roy Krishna made a significant impact in his first ISL season with ATK. He scored 15 goals in 21 matches and provided six assists, sharing the Golden Boot with others. Krishna’s performance was instrumental in ATK’s title-winning campaign. He will return as the captain of ATK Mohun Bagan this season.
7. Nerijus Valskis
Lithuanian striker Nerijus Valskis had a fantastic debut season with Chennaiyin FC, scoring 15 goals from 20 appearances and winning the Golden Boot. His performance played a crucial role in Chennaiyin finishing as runners-up. Valskis will reunite with manager Owen Coyle at Jamshedpur FC this season.
6. Hugo Boumous
Frenchman Hugo Boumous had a significant impact with FC Goa, becoming a key player in attack. In his debut season, Boumous scored 16 goals and provided 17 assists, the second-most in ISL history. His standout performance in the 2019/20 season earned him the ‘Hero of the League’ title. He will now play for Mumbai City FC.
5. Bartholomew Ogbeche
Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche has been a prolific goal-scorer since joining the ISL in the 2018/19 season. He scored 15 goals with Kerala Blasters in the 2019/20 season, finishing as the joint-top scorer. Ogbeche has 27 goals from 34 matches with Mumbai City FC and will aim to add more this season.
Canadian striker Iain Hume was known for his goal-scoring prowess and ability to deliver hat-tricks. With 28 goals from 69 matches, he also holds the record for the most hat-tricks in ISL history. Hume made an impact with Kerala Blasters and Atletico de Kolkata, winning the title in 2016.
3. Marcelinho
Brazilian forward Marcelinho, also known as Marcelo Pereira, has been a versatile player in the ISL. He finished his debut season with Delhi Dynamos as the top scorer with 10 goals and added five assists. Marcelinho later played for FC Pune City and Hyderabad FC, scoring 31 goals and providing 18 assists—the most in ISL history.
2. Sunil Chhetri
Indian striker Sunil Chhetri is the leading Indian goal-scorer in the ISL with 39 goals from 74 matches. He led Bengaluru FC to its first ISL title in the 2018/19 season and was awarded the ‘Hero of the League’ for his 14 goals in the 2017/18 season, the highest by an Indian in an ISL season.
1. Ferran Corominas
Spanish striker Ferran Corominas, known as ‘Coro,’ is the most prolific goal-scorer in ISL history with 47 goals from 58 matches. He has an impressive goals-per-game ratio of 0.84, the best in the league. Coro holds the record for the most goals in a season with 18 and has won the Golden Boot twice. He also scored the fastest hat-trick in ISL history in just seven minutes against Kerala Blasters in 2017.
